ELIGIBILITY AND CERTIFICATION

Please contribute to WVAG’s professional level of artistic integrity by agreeing to these rules:  

WVAG is dedicated to exhibiting excellent works of fine art that promote the artist’s creative ability, vision, and skills. In this respect, all artwork must be original and created from conception to completion solely by the artist.

  • Open to all WVAG members in good standing. 

  • Maximum 1 artwork per artist, not to exceed 60 x 60 inches and/or 60 pounds.

  • Each entrant must certify that their work is original and created only by the submitting artist.

  • Artists are permitted to use their own photos as reference materials in the creation of their artwork, but not photos from other sources.

  • No artwork copied from another artist’s work, any copyrighted work, or from published photos, media, or internet images is eligible.  The only exception is collage work which may include small portions of other artists’ work, or public materials.

  • No artwork created under the guidance of an instructor in a workshop or class is eligible no matter when completed.

  • NO AI GENERATED ART IS ALLOWED.

  • All artwork is subject to review by the WVAG for compliance with these rules.

  • All work must be professionally finished, framed or gallery wrapped and wired for hanging. Saw tooth hangers are not allowed.

  • No work previously hung or exhibited in any WVAG show will be accepted.

  • All exhibiting artists are required to sit the gallery, or pay a fee of $30, if they are unable to do so. Exhibiting artists over the age of 80, or who have a medical disability are exempt from this requirement.

  • Artwork insurance is the artist’s responsibility. The WVAG and the City of Thousand Oaks will not accept responsibility for loss, damage, or theft.




WVAG reserves the right to reject any submissions that it deems inappropriate or is offensive in subject matter. Works that show nudity, religious, political, discriminatory, or violent messages may be rejected per these restrictions.

All sales during the exhibit are subject to a 20% commission payable to WVAG.

It is very important that you read all the instructions before attempting to enter your images!!!!!

Entering Your Images:

Entry form must be filled out in its entirety. 

List sizes up to the nearest inch.  

Submitted images must not include matting or frame.  Crop the photos to include only the artwork.  Be sure your images are right-side-up. Before uploading your images, make sure they are smaller than 4MB, but at least 1920 pixels on the longest side at 72 dpi.  Images should be in JPEG format and RGB color space. 


Entry Fee:

  • WVAG member $35

  • Maximum of 1 entry per artist. 

Entry fees are non-refundable and must be paid on entry.
